Biehn Construction, Inc. employs a “self-perform” approach that is
without peer in the region. Operating from offices in Kenosha, WI,
employs over 100 people. Our skilled union tradesmen construct about
80% of any project we build.
This unique “self-perform” approach sets us apart from other
contractors who rely primarily on subcontractors for their labor. The
advantage to our customers of our in-house work crew is that we
exercise greater control over labor scheduling and trades coordinating
and can complete projects on time every time and often even ahead of
our own aggressive schedules. This translates into reliable,
no-surprises performance and large dollar savings for our customers.
One typical example is the Kenosha North-side Library. The project was
completed in eight and a half months — a full seven months ahead of
schedule.
We service an area from Madison to Lake Michigan and from West Bend
into northern Illinois. We can handle a project as a general contractor
or as a subcontractor. We do several dozen of each kind every year. We
prefer the design-build contract method for the many advantages it
offers to our customers.
