Larry C. Biehn, President
Larry’s devotion to the construction industry began in 1976, as a
carpenter apprentice for Riley Construction, where he later became
carpenter foreman. In 1981, Larry formed Biehn Construction, Inc.
Currently, Larry oversees and manages all aspects of the company
operations.
Chad M. Steinbrecher, Controller
Chad received his accounting degree from the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Having successfully completed the necessary state
examinations and pre-qualifications, Chad has earned his CPA
certification. Chad manages all accounting procedures—including
payroll, accounts payable/receivable, financial statements and tax
requirements to various government entities. Chad joined Biehn
Construction, Inc. in February, 1989.
Laurie Widmar, Contract Administrator
Laurie has an Associate Degree in Administrative Assistant Secretarial
Science from Gateway Technical College, Kenosha, Wisconsin. Laurie
oversees all facets of office management. She is responsible for
generating all construction contracts, change orders and correspondence
for office personnel. Laurie joined Biehn Construction, Inc. April of
1998.
Bob Zandi, Architect
Bob is a 1976 graduate of the Architectural Professional Degree Program
at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, with a Bachelor of
Architecture and Bachelor of Science-Environmental Design Degrees. Bob
has been a practicing Architect in Southeast Wisconsin since 1978. His
involvement in the construction trades has been broad and deep, with
experience in municipal, residential, commercial, industrial and
institutional projects. Bob has primary design responsibility for all
projects and supervises the preparation of construction drawings by the
architectural staff of Biehn Construction, Inc. Previous positions and
firms include: Triad Design Architectural Group, Inc, founder and
president; The Lake Group, Inc., founding principal and vice-president;
Architectural Associates of Wis. Ltd., project architect; Hackner,
Schroeder, Roslanski & Assoc., project architect; Hans Geyer Architect,
apprentice architect.
Charles Sautner, Landscape Architect
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, School of
Architecture and Urban Planning and the University of
Wisconsin-Madison, School of Agriculture. In 1996, Charlie became a
registered Landscape Architect in the State of Wisconsin. His
employment experience with the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and as
a Park Planner with the Prince William County, Virginia Park Authority
have provided Charlie with insight and understanding as to the
necessities of working both with and within the Public Domain.
Jason Raiten, Architectural Designer/Cadd Technician
Jason is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, School of
Architecture and Urban Planning with a Bachelor of Science degree, and
ITT Technical College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in
Computer Aided Drafting and Design. Jason joined Biehn Construction in
September 2000. He specializes in computer generated imaging created
with 3D modeling and rendering in Auto CAAD in conjunction with digital
photo editing to create graphic proposals for projects and marketing.
Thomas Springer, Project Manager
Tom joined Biehn Construction, Inc. in June of 1987. He began as a
laborer working on concrete and masonry crews. In 1989, he started his
carpenter apprenticeship and worked as a carpenter for Biehn
Construction. Tom later worked as our facility manager at our Germantown branch. His duties include scheduling crews for
jobs, directing distribution of tools and material, inspecting jobsites
and workmanship, and maintaining safety standards and employee
performance records. Tom currently uses his skills as a project manager in our Kenosha office.
Christopher Dunn, Project Manager
Chris joined Biehn Construction, Inc. in June of 2004. As a graduate of the Milwaukee School of Engineering, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management, Chris puts theory and real world experience together to bring projects from a conceptual idea to a completed final product.
Ron Stark, Electrical Division Manager
Ron has a Wisconsin Master Electrical license. Along with 25 years of
experience as an electrician, Ron managed electricians for 15 years
previous to joining Biehn Construction in October of 1999. Previous to
joining Biehn, Ron served as estimator and project manager for Roman
Electric in Milwaukee, WI.
Ken Krahn, Painting Division Manager
Ken joined Biehn Construction in April 1998. He is responsible for
overseeing the painting division and estimating upcoming projects.
Gregory D. Biehn, Project Superintendent
Greg was one of the founding fathers of Biehn Construction, beginning
his career as a carpenter. Today he supervises new construction as well
as renovation and remodeling projects. Greg’s years of construction
experience, starting in 1973, serve him well as a “troubleshooter” on
all jobs currently in progress. Greg has worked closely with the State
of Wisconsin’s Department of Transportation, Abbott Laboratories,
Wesley United Methodist Church, Super 8 Motel Chain, Mobil Oil,
McDonald’s Restaurants and Children’s Land of Learning.
Kevin Pfeuffer, Project Superintendent
Kevin joined Biehn Construction, Inc. in March 1992 as a carpenter. He
has since been promoted to superintendent where Kevin has run many of
our more demanding projects. Kevin’s construction knowledge,
organizational abilities and people skills make him one of our top
superintendents.
Ken Plants, Project Superintendent
Ken joined Biehn Construction in June 1991 as a carpenter foreman with
13 years of experience. Ken was quickly promoted to superintendent and
has successfully completed many of our projects requiring the
experience that Ken brings to a project. Ken’s experience, knowledge
and organizational skills make him one of our best superintendents.
Mark Willkomm, Project Superintendent
Mark joined Biehn Construction in June 1986 as a carpenter and through
his experiences has developed the skills required to run construction
projects from the jobsite, which includes coordinating crews from Biehn
with subcontractor crews.
Steve Herzog, Project Superintendent
Steve joined Biehn Construction in September of 1986. He began as a
laborer working on concrete and masonry crews. In 1989, he started his
carpenter apprenticeship and worked as a carpenter until 1996. His many
years of construction experience have helped him win the praise and
respect of our customers, who feel confident that their job will be
done right when he is running the job.
Dan Mortensen, Project Superintendent
Dan joined Biehn Construction, Inc. in April of 1995. Dan completed his carpenter apprenticeship in 1999 and began operating as a superintendent in 2002. Dan also completed superintendent training programs through the AGC. Since becoming a project superintendent, Dan has managed various projects which include work completed at U.W. Parkside, Meineke, Ace Hardware and 3 car dealerships: Saab, Porsche and Audi. His great attention to details of managing these projects within strict time constraints has made him a great asset to our supervision team.
Dennis Kesich, Purchasing and Warehouse Manager
Dennis joined Biehn Construction in April 1996. Dennis’s duties include
purchasing, negotiating, supplies, equipment and services. He also
manages the operations of the Kenosha warehouse facilities.
Paul Muhlenbeck, Fleet and Equipment Manager
Paul joined Biehn Construction in April 1995. Paul dispatches heavy
equipment to scheduled construction projects. In addition, he oversees
the maintenance of the vehicle fleet, as well as all other company
construction equipment, and oversees warehouse operations.
Doug Hebior, Fleet Maintenance Manager
Doug joined Biehn Construction in January 1992. He schedules, directs
and assists with fleet equipment maintenance and repair.
